Spanish cuisine!!

What a fun day we had! We went to a little village called Durcel, about 20-30 minutes away from the center of Granada. This is a place that German, our director, his parents own it. They come here in the summer to plant in their garden and have people over for meals a lot. The pueblo only has two rooms, one room (with the blue door in the photo) is a bathroom/storage room, while the other room is a kitchen/dining area with a fireplace. What a beautiful place! And with the mountains in the background?! I could live here! Two of German’s friends taught us about cooking paella and tortilla espanola today! As I have said in previous posts, paella and tortilla espanola, are both famous dishes in Spain. And boy were they good! We got to help with peeling potatoes, cutting up the vegetables, and making the sangria! DELICIOUS!!! I can’t wait to make these meals for my friends and family when I return back home.
